Politics, Activism, Culture and Fun in Brisbane, Australia.
How will we take over the world and run it ourselves
instead of having to work for the bosses who own everything?
One thing's for sure - we'll need exciting, powerful,
curious and free people on our side, not the boring pseudo-left

Mulrunji's death - Brisbane Murri activists rally at Parliament House, where Sam Watson and the Premier, Peter Beattie, spoke.

UPDATE: Ted Reithmuller's photos of the rally can be seen here at Flickr.

Dave Riley of the Socialist Alliance Brisbane blog has put together an excellent sound recording of the rally held at the Parliament of Queensland last Tuesday, October 10th 2006.

The rally demanded that Senior Sergeant Chris Hurley be charged with murder, based on the deputy coroner's report that found he killed Aboriginal man Mulrunji in Palm Island, off North Queensland, two years ago.

Sam Watson speaks to the rally.

So did Peter Beattie, who is the Premier of Queensland.
